Temporary, environmental and ephemeral works by Steuart Bremner include a ring created simply with light (The Light Ring), a winter tour of snow formations (Valloire Links), interventions with other land art and traditional sculpture (Smithson's Spiral Jetty, Heizer's Double Negative, Picasso's Chicago bull and Maillol's La Doleur) and installations created for specific environments.

There is an economy of materials in all of Bremner's work, and these less permanent works are even more eco-sparse.
