Ceret Crate

It's February in the cental square of a small town that is remarkable because it still holds bull fights in the summer, attracted Picasso, Dali and many other artists, and has a Modern Art Museum.

Also because its central square has a sculpture by Aristide Maillol. The sculpture called "La Douleur " is a war memorial that Maillol finished in 1922. The Crate project was made to emphasize the uniqueness of this sculpture and its importance to the civic pride of a community like Céret, which has made it a municipal goal to promote and support modern art.

The remaining documentation of the project is the photograph of the final installation.
