The Breckenridge community encourages sport and Breck Bike Week is just one of the many examples of events supported by the town of Breckenridge, the Breckenridge Resort Chamber and the community. But the town also supports the arts and commissioned artists Steuart Bremner and Terry Talty to make an environmental piece for the benefit of bikers and hikers on town open space trails in the summer of 2012.

Forest for the Trees was completed by the Fourth of July on the Moonstone Trail close to the intersection of Moonstone Road.

The sculpture acts as a screen and makes what one can see through it more special. The work is an organized form in a busy forest landscape and is entirely made of natural materials, most of which were located within steps of the site.
